Waterfront homes and canal properties encourage regular and extensive boating. However, despite the convenience of passing water traffic, bad weather and strong winds can take their toll on the most carefully secured craft. Reelax Mooring Whips provide a simple, effective solution to the dilemma of needing to keep your boat tied up safely to the wharf for protection and convenience – and being able to slip her lines in just a few seconds.
Reelax Mooring Whips are a cinch to secure and release, but effective in keeping the boat safely off the wharf. They are virtually maintenance free, too.
Two sizes available:
- 4.5m Standard Whips, for boats in the 5.0 – 9.0m range
- 5.0m Super Whips for boats 9.0 – 17.0m.
- Larger craft can be catered for with special poles or tri or quad installations.
4.1/4.2 MOORING WHIP INSTRUCTIONS
- Set up FORE and AFT SPRING LINES and BOW and STERNÂ LINES as pictured above
Note: the distance between the boat and pontoon should be from 500 mm to 750mm. - Place whips in line with cleats. The mounting castings should be maximum 500 mm from the front of pontoon.
- Splice, tie or fix a loop, on the whip rope so fiberglass pole has plenty of flex when connected to cleats.Amount of flex = manageable connection of rope to cleat. Remember the more flex in the pole the less movement of the boat
