WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: To prevent electrocution, make sure the cord is not connected to a power source before installing the wiring device. Failure to comply with the following instructions could cause an electrical failure or fire.
- Back out the three recessed screws and separate the sections.
- Slide housing over the power cord. Strip 36mm off the outer insulation then 17mm off the insulation on all three wires. Make sure the wire is clean and a bright copper colour. Do not solder the ends of the wire.
- Insert bare wires into their corresponding colour-coded terminals. Make certain there is not wire insulation under any terminal clamp.Tighten the screw clamps to 14-20 inch-pounds torque.
- Couple the two sections by aligning the key with the key slot.
- Tighten down the recessed screws with moderate torque.
- Tighten cord clamp by tighten two assembly screws to 16-20 inch-pounds torque.
SALT WATER IMMERSION: DISCONNECT FROM POWER SOURCE - RINSE PLUG/CONNECTOR THOROUGHLY IN FRESH WATER, SHAKE OR BLOW OUT EXCESS WATER, AND ALLOW TO DRY. SPRAY WITH MOISTURE DISPLACEMENT BEFORE RE-USE.
When used in wet condition we strongly recommend the use of weatherproof covers.
